Fantastic Experience! MJB Building was recommended to us by our HOA, because they had built decks for other members in our community. We had an original deck that needed to be replaced. Marcus, the owner, came out quickly to look over things and give us a bid. He and his crew showed up every day when they said they would. They tore out the old deck and replaced it with a beautiful new one. They also built a custom cedar pergola over it. Marcus, being very seasoned in this field, was able to work out a solution for the pergola design that our HOA would approve. Throughout the process, he communicated with us and kept us in the loop. He and his crew were always pleasant and professional; and they worked very hard to keep the project on schedule. We could not be happier!

Overall, I'm glad that we went with Marcus and MJD Construction for our new deck. I appreciate that Marcus came back and fixed a few things that I asked of him months after the project was finished. I also like that Marcus allowed us to buy our own decking, which saved us thousands of dollars.

Very poor experience. Our interaction resulted in us winning in a lengthy small claims court case for a very poorly constructed, poor quality deck. Communication is non-existent. Attitude abysmal, including derogatory remarks and comments to my wife. Value poor.
Would not recommend MJD Building "Solutions" for any project. Pictures included, and more details are available upon request.
I would also caution against paying attention to reviews by "LC" on Nextdoor, or other platforms, as this is the owner's girlfriend.

Marcus did a fantastic job on our front porch. Everything on time, ahead of schedule, and zero cost surprises. The greatest thing about Marcus though is that he RESPONDS, and shows up when he says he will. Quality workmanship and a reliable guy. Totally recommended!
